The Keen Project Delivery System™ (KPDS)
KPDS is our company-wide approach to integrated project delivery, and it’s central to how we work. Based on Lean Construction principles and years of applied experience, it provides a consistent workflow for coordinating people, decisions and work throughout the project. Different disciplines stay involved across phases rather than operating in silos. What’s learned and decided early carries forward through later phases, helping maintain continuity as the project progresses.

Listening Comes First
Before we define a solution, we begin with discovery. This phase is where we learn how your business operates and what success looks like from your perspective. We ask questions, listen to the people who know the operation best and gather the information needed to understand the project clearly. That early work gives the team a strong foundation for the decisions that follow, from scope and budget to scheduling and design.
Planning Is Collaborative
The people closest to the work often see things others can’t. Our Lean approach brings those voices into planning and gives them an active role in deciding how the work gets done. Using the Last Planner System, our engineers, project managers, superintendents and foremen — along with key vendors and subcontractor team members — work together to sequence activities and identify constraints.
Building a schedule this way makes it more realistic. Teams can coordinate more effectively, reduce rework and respond sooner when something is off track. That can improve schedule reliability and productivity while helping control project costs.
Know Where Your Project Stands
Clients remain part of the conversation throughout the project. Tools such as Procore keep current information accessible, while regular conversations create opportunities to discuss progress, changes and concerns. When challenges arise, we bring them forward. That transparency gives the team a chance to address issues promptly and avoid surprises later.
Committed to Safety
On every jobsite, our first priority is making sure everyone returns home safe at the end of the day. Operation Zero, our peer-to-peer behavior-based safety program, supports that goal by reinforcing safe choices and creating space for employees to speak up when they see a risk.
Teams use those conversations to address concerns quickly and understand what may be contributing to unsafe conditions. We also track what we learn over time so we can improve training, equipment and the way work is carried out. The result is a safety culture built on shared responsibility and continuous improvement.
Principles in Practice
Ultimately, our people are what bring our process to life. We encourage employees to speak up, share what they know and look for ways to improve. Lessons learned inform future projects, and good ideas can come from anywhere in the organization. Our Guiding Principles ground that culture in a shared set of values. They drive how we work with clients and one another, and how we make decisions when the answer isn’t obvious.
